New Drink Concept: Fru-Tea Ice Blended
The specialty coffee and tea retailer creates refreshing non-fat

LOS ANGELES - February 20 - From the creators of the original Ice Blended® coffee drink, which set off an unprecedented worldwide demand for such beverages, comes a new beverage concept made with tea: The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Fru-Tea Ice Blended®. Starting March 1, the Los Angeles-based specialty coffee and tea retailer will offer two refreshing versions of the Fru-Tea Ice Blended® drinks: Mucho Mango and Lemon Zest. These cool, icy drinks quench the thirst with a powerful punch of fruity flavor and a subtle taste of tea. The new drink concept is a great compliment to the already impressive menu of java-inspired Ice Blended® beverages from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and further establishes the company as a constant innovator in the beverage industry.
These two very refreshing beverages remind customers that quality tea has always been at the heart of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf . The Mucho Mango Fru-Tea Ice Blended® and Lemon Zest Fru-Tea Ice Blended® are both made from real fruit, real tea and blended with ice. Neither uses powders and will appeal to customers preferring a lighter tasting beverage. The drinks also provide vitamin C and other antioxidants in addition to their appealing fruity flavor profiles.

Mucho Mango Ice Blended® and Lemon Zest Ice Blended® are available in 12, 16, and 24 oz. sizes for $3.50, $4.25, and $5.25, respectively. These seasonal drinks are available at all U.S. locations from March 1 to May 2, 2006.
