Joe Ponciano Joins The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf As Orange County Regional Manager
LOS ANGELES - August XX, 2005 - The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf , Los Angeles-based specialty coffee and tea retailer, announced today that Joe Ponciano has joined the company as a Regional Manager. Ponciano will manage the Orange County stores guiding employees in his region toward success and seamless execution of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf system. Ponciano brings great enthusiasm to the job, citing his strong professional interest in adequate training and employee relations, as well as his extensive background in both management and financial consulting.

Ponciano has been with The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf for the past 2 years as a District Manager earning the District Manager of the Year title in 2004. Previous to his employment with The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf he was a Regional Manager for Koo Koo Roo - Prandium Inc. for 8 years. Ponciano oversaw the operation activities of 14 stores producing 20 million in annual sales.
While Ponciano was Regional Manager for Koo Koo Roo - Prandium Inc. he made use of his leadership and experience to generate 75% of his division's profit. Ponciano also had the lowest management turnover by not losing one manager in his district.
