LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (August XX, 2006) - The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf , Los Angeles-based specialty coffee and tea retailer, continues to introduce timely and tempting Ice Blended® and latte drinks by offering the Pumpkin Pie Ice Blended® and the Pumpkin Pie Latte for the company's upcoming fall 2006 promotion. Each of these limited-time-only menu items will be available at all U.S. locations from September 6 through November 1, 2006. Patrons are forewarned: These drinks may trick taste buds into thinking that Grandma's pumpkin pie is now available by the glass! In addition, two new retail items have been added to the menu for the 2006 fall promotion that will also be available at the launch of the promotion: limited edition Salida del Sol whole leaf herbal infusion from Brazil and limited edition and rare Galapagos Islands San Cristobal Estate organic coffee.

"We're excited to feature these delicious, seasonal drink options exclusively for fall," said Tami Clark, vice president of marketing and strategic alliances for The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®. "We're always proud to present our customers with new and delicious drink offerings and we've found that in our new pumpkin-flavored drinks and exotic, limited edition retail items."

The creators of the Original Ice Blended®, which started the worldwide craze for blended coffee drinks, introduce the Pumpkin Pie Ice Blended®. This decadent drink combines nonfat milk, ice, the company's proprietary French Deluxe™ vanilla powder and a special spiced pumpkin sauce that is then blended and topped with whipped cream - of course! The Pumpkin Pie Ice Blended® comes in 12-ounce, 16-ounce and 24-ounce servings and costs $3.50, $4.25, and $5.25, respectively.

Latte lovers looking to keep warm as cooler weather approaches will enjoy the Pumpkin Pie Latte. This satisfying drink is comprised of espresso and a special spiced pumpkin sauce that are whisked together with steamed non-fat milk and topped with foam. The Pumpkin Pie Latte comes in 12-ounce, 16-ounce and 20-ounce servings and sells for $3.25, $3.75, and $3.95, respectively.

In addition to those special drinks, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® proudly continues its long tradition of introducing specialty products from around the world to its customers. The limited edition Galapagos Islands San Cristobal Estate organic coffee is 100% organic coffee grown in the renowned ecological sanctuary of the Galapagos Islands using sustainable farming practices. An Ecuadorian businessman planted the first coffee trees on the San Cristobal Island of Galapagos around 1870 and much of the coffee produced on the island today is from the coffee tree stock planted 136 years ago. This rare, limited crop coffee is cultivated on the volcanic mountains of the Galapagos Islands of Ecuador and carefully handpicked and processed using the unique spring water of the island. The light roast coffee has a delicate spicy aroma and light creamy flavor reminiscent of white chocolate, with a crisp berry-like finish. Sales of coffee from San Cristobal Island provide Galapagos fisherman with an alternative livelihood and income, which in turn protects the marine national parks. A one-pound bag of Galapagos Islands San Cristobal Estate organic coffee retails for $24.95.

And back by popular demand, the Sailda del Sol whole leaf herbal infusion is comprised of Brazilian green yerba mate and lemongrass that is blended to yield a full-bodied herbal infusion with a pleasant fruit aroma and light, refreshing lemon flavor. The result is an herbal infusion that is complex yet delicate and refreshing in flavor. A 20-tea bag retail tin of Salida del Sol sells for $7.95.
