The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Opens Store In Saudi Arabia
Los Angeles-based specialty coffee and tea retailer expands presence
throughout the Middle East region
LOS ANGELES, January XX, 2006 - The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®, Los Angeles-based specialty coffee and tea retailer, opened a new store in North Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in October, 2005. This most recent addition to the company's franchise system was in development for three months and marks just the first foray into Saudi Arabia; but it continues the growth of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® within the burgeoning Middle East region market.
This new store is a total of 140 square meters and includes two sections, one for single customers and one for families. Both areas are enhanced with decorative wall murals. Because the neighborhood is distinguished by its affluent surroundings and the nearby Saudi Arabia Airlines crew complex, the store attracts world travelers and a high number of customers from other countries. In response to this desirable demographic, this newest store features multi-cultural baristas.
Mr. Medhat Bakraa, general manager of Safood Catering L.L.C, the franchise developer for The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®, said, "Most of our customers who have come to our store have already enjoyed their experiences with The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® in other countries. So far, in the few months that this newest location has been open, Mr. Bakraa says the best-selling beverages include the cappuccino, café caramel and café latte. This new store also includes a large menu of baked goods and sandwiches, and the chipotle roast chicken sandwich is the early favorite with customers.
Because of such vibrant growth in Saudi Arabia, this new store is expected to be the first of many locations as The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® continues to expand its presence throughout the Middle East region.
